What we can depend on

I sat here for a good long time this morning trying to decide what I could depend on anymore. Let's face it, these tough financial times have left us drifting off into an unknown that is frightening, leaving us all to wonder about our financial futures.
As I look out over the beautiful landscape here in Southwest Florida, I see the fall sun going up high in the sky and hear birds chirpping as they do this time day, There is life out there. I'm doing laundry, will do some earrands later, and later still make dinner for my hubby as I always do. There is hope in the mundane that surrounds us and afterall, aren't we told we should always live the for the moment?
So just for today I've decided to forget my worries about having enough retirement money or losing my savings account. I'm going to concentrate on making this day, this time, I've been granted the best it can possibly be, and that I believe, is what we can depend on most, ourselves.
