Creative Christmas Presents Category: Blogging
This year my husband and I decided to cut back on gift giving for Christmas. It wasn't an easy decision, we both love Christmas and buying and sending gifts to family was always a pure joy.
However, ecomomic times being what they are, we felt this one area where we could save a little. Does this mean, we won't give any gifts? Absolutely Not!
I'm thinking of creative ways to say Merry Christmas to our friends and family without exchaning presents. For those nearby, I'm doing a dinner on Christmas day and including everyone's favorite food. For those afar, I'm sending special notes and in some cases homemade gifts when appropriate.
It's been a challenge to come up with the perfect something that doesn't break the checkbook, but all in all, I feel I'm doing gifts that come from the heart and that have personal meaning, which in my opinion, is what gift giving should be all about!
